The Justice for All Actof 2004 authorized the establishment of the Kirk Bloodsworth Postconviction DNATesting Grant Program. The program provides funding to states to help defraythe costs associated with postconviction DNA testing. Though not the sole measureof program success, as a result of NIJ's funding and the hard work of thegrantees, to date, 10 exonerations have been achieved through DNA testing.Read all about them on the updated Postconvictionpage.
