Kenyan Police Massacre: Residents 'Flee Homes'  In Kenya a gang of cattle rustlers ambushed and killed thirty-two police officers.  Think about the nature of police work in the USA and we have thirty-two officers killed in six months.  They had that many killed in a day.  The United States has very effective police and we do a very good job of breaking up gangs and putting violent criminals in jail.  I think there is still more we could do, however. We need a fingerprint data base that is fully centralized.  Every person in the USA who gets fingerprinted should be in that central data base.  Every officer in the field should have instant access to that information. It should tell us if the person is presently wanted for any offense and if they have been convicted of any crime of violence, any felony, or if they are on a terrorist watch list. We need better crime scene investigation.  Just as we see on television every week on several TV shows, crime scene investigation is complex and expensive.  We need to spend the money to train and equip enough crime scene investigators to respond to every murder, major violent crime and significant property crime.  That will help us to get more and better convictions; that's what the SGT Says.
